My Services

Adventure and luxury guiding

I guide a wide range of clients around the world. Each trip is different and each client too, ranging from extreme adventure to opulent luxury. My sweet spot is taking guests to destinations and experiences which would be beyond their comfort zone without my presence.

Experience working for the best luxury tourism agency in the business (Abercrombie & Kent) ensures my guiding service is exceptional, guaranteeing a life-changing experience.

The New York Times recently wrote an article on a guided trip I ran.

Trip logistics and management

Given my wide ranging experience in the guiding industry across the world, I provide logistical know-how and management in even the most difficult of countries, whether it be an arctic expedition, a high-altitude hiking trip, or a large-group holiday.

Trip and Itinerary creation

My industry experience ensures I have an excellent knowledge of what the best trips contain – a mix of surprise, security, joy, anticipation, service and space to breathe. I have been employed on several occasions to create itineraries which have been extremely successful. This service typically involves scouting and leading the created trip.

My latest trip created is a Western Sicily bike trip for Freewheeling Adventures. I created, scouted and guided the route which is in an outstanding and unknown area of the island.

Sustainable Tourism consultation

I work on sustainable tourism projects as a consultant. These projects are principally to assess feasibility of implanting a sustainable tourism project, market analysis and helping take the project to market. This brings together my on-site knowledge as a guide, director of Business Development in London, and my MSc in Sustainable Mountain Development.

I currently work as a part-time recreotourism consultant for le SOPAIR (Société de plein air des Pays-d’en-Haut) on the Routes Blanches project, which aims to protect the centennial backcountry cross-country ski network in the Laurentians. I have also consulted for the paddling federation of Québec (CKQ), working on the Route Bleue project which aims to democratise paddling in Quebec through producing itineraries.

Conferences

My myriad of experiences living and working around the world has led to me being sought out as a speaker. Subjects include expeditions and projects I have done around the world, ecotourism and its economic benefits, how to become an adventure guide along with its pros and cons, and overviews on specific tourism markets.

My latest conference was providing an overview on the impact of tourism in the Canadian Arctic, for the Royal Geographical Society.
